Puerto Vallarta is on Central Time

Business generally open early and run late in México, but most
break in the afternoon for 'seista'. Often closing from 2 until 4 in
the afternoon, but some close at 1 and others don't reopen until
5. Some close at  2 and that's it for the day.

Also Manana doesn't necessarily mean tomorrow, but it does
mean NOT today.

Traveling in Puerto Vallarta

Travel from the airport to  your vacation rental

Renting a car is one option. Book early, especially
November through March.

From the airport, taxi service is available. However, if you
want to negotiate a better deal, cross the pedestrian
overpass to the other side of the highway. Agree on a
price before you leave.

If you don't rent a car, use the local bus service. Combis
(mini vans) run every few minutes and the price is very
minimal.

Communication

Many of the locals are very friendly and
generous and family oriented people. Many will
work with you to communicate. You can
pantomime, draw pictures, or use a
english/spanish dictionary. Many will be patient
and helpful with your vocabulary and
pronunciation.

Restrooms

Most older buildings sewer systems were not
designed for flushing toilet paper. It is
considered courteous and is quite important to
deposit your toilet paper in the waste basket
provided.

What to Bring

desired you may want to bring something soft to
put on top of the mattress.

Bring sun block, and a simple first aid kit.
